 Rabin Das has preached the Word of God to his people for eleven years. His life was not very easy in the beginning. He had to undertake the work of God through many hardships and obstacles. When he was eight years old he attended Sunday school every week. It was a wonderful opportunity in his life to know God. But his family persecuted him and tortured him physically to try to stop him from listening to the Good News. Praise God, his love for God could not be restrained. When he was 12 years old, he believed and accepted Jesus as his savior. His family became very angry with him. Some days they punished him and even threw him out of the house. But, even with this difficulty, he did not forsake Jesus. God gave him the grace to know that Jesus loved him and would save him from all suffering one day. From then on he fasted and prayed for his family. Amazingly God heard his prayer and one day his family accepted him. He later earned a pastoral theology degree from a seminary. And later, to glory of God, began evangelizing children in Bangladesh. His strong motivation to reach the lost was because he realized that millions of helpless, orphaned and wicked children like him are in sin. 

After years of doing evangelism in many villages through weekly Bible studies and celebration of Christmas. In 2023 we became an official organization in Bangladesh called Fountain of Life Ministry Rag: No-3745

Why did I create the Fountain of Life Church (FLC) organization?

As Bangladesh is a Muslim country. Population statistics in Bangladesh are 91.04% Muslim, 7.95% Hindu, 0.61% Buddhist, 0.30% Christian, 0.10% other.

117,000,000 people live in Bangladesh. It is very important to preach the Word of God in Bangladesh because only a tiny fraction of the population, believe in Jesus. There are many areas in Bangladesh where the Word of God is not known. There are a few preachers in different areas, who are telling the way of salvation. These pastors work tirelessly every day to spread the good news for the glory of God.

Ministry of Children:

40,000,000 children live in Bangladesh. Of these, 95% of children live in villages, most of them poor, orphaned and destitute. They do not know how to be saved, because they have never heard the Word of God.

Therefore, Fountain of Life thinks that if children are taught God’s Word from childhood, they will not forget it even as adults. And children’s minds are always simple and open so it is easier for them to believe the Word of God. We have seen hundreds of children believe and trust Jesus in their hearts because of hearing the Word of God over 10 years.

With the help of five teachers, 500-550 children in 14 villages are hearing the good news of salvation every week. Some children who believe in Jesus are now preaching the Word of God to others. But the sad thing is that sometimes when we go to preach, we are persecuted by the elders in the village. Many of those who come  to our Bible studies have difficulties with their parents opposing them.

Youth Ministry:

Through years of preaching the Word of God many children believe in Jesus give evidence of genuine salvation. 

Fountain of Life teaches older children between the ages of 14-18 with personal Bible training to build them up in the faith and knowledge of God. May they in the future use their lives for the glory of God, and preach the Word to their families, neighbors, and other areas. There are now over a hundred young men and women preparing themselves by training in the Bible every week.

Bible ministry to the elder people:

Some parents and elders show interest in hearing God’s Word when children are taught the Bible. We have started for Home churches in four villages.150 people attend worship services every week, mostly Hindus and Muslims. There are thousands of villages in Bangladesh where the Word of God has never been preached. We are committed to preaching the good news of salvation everywhere. .

Fountain of Life Church Ministries:

Day after day in the villages of the preaching area, children and old people are being baptized because of faith in Jesus. I have started churches in three villages as worship is held every week. But as there is no church building, worship has to be done in the open. Many problems are faced in sun and rain. But last year, the help of AMMI Ministry, we were able to build a church. It is known in Bangladesh as the Fountain of Life Church.

Now people can  weekly and praise God. Every week, there are often 60 to 70 people listening to the Word of God and their lives are being changed and they are being saved. This church building was very much needed.

The role of the Ammi Ministry was to provide overall direction, financial management, and encouragement. We are now, considering a second village, a distance away to build a second church.

Door to door evangelism:

It is an effective method of care. Some people do not go to worship even though they wanted to. Especially, in areas where public outreach is dangerous. 

Many people stay in their homes when we evangelize, and usually the villagers show great hospitality, which allows us to enter their homes and do personal evangelism. We find that through one family we can open the door to evangelize another families. We have great testimonials about the response from this outreach.

Street Ministry:

It is a great and golden opportunity for us in Bangladesh to preach the word of God to street children. There are millions of street children in Bangladesh who are living in hunger, helplessness and sin every day. They do not know what salvation in and how to get forgiveness from sins and get eternal life. Therefore , at different times every day, every week, we are preaching the word of God to different street children so that they can be saved. And through this preaching, many children are saved and are living faithful lives.

 Our goal:

Bangladesh has about 87,230 villages with millions of people who have not heard the word of God even once. We have set our goal to bring the word of God to every person in Bangladesh.

• To preach the Word of God among children in every area.
• To make preachers of God’s Word by training on the Bible.
• To spread peace among children in every village.
• Encourage the youth and the elderly to participate in the church.
• Establishing church houses where people cannot worship due to lack of church buildings.
• Recruit more preachers.
• Showing the love of Christ through charity.
• Extending helping hands to helpless orphans and distressed children.
• Responsible to every member of the church and forming them properly.
